Transom Options
We have two transom types for highlights over Bi-fold doors. Both types are a clean snap fit.
Typical examples of transom strengths (servicability ratings) shown below:
Based on a maximum allowable metal deflection of 1/180.
"-" Denotes that value is less than 500Pa which is not suitable for any location in Australia.

The light transom is fabricated by snapping a pocketed filler to the Bi-fold head as shown left.
For wider openings and or transoms that are subject to higher wind loads we have a heavy duty transom. The box stiffener can project to the outside or inside as required.
In all highlight transom versions the top roller guide doubles as a drip mould to protect the top of the doors from water intrusion.
The illustration lower left shows how we produce a lowlight transom for Bi-fold windows.
